Originally intended as a 2009 release on Mercury/Universal, Firestation Records and Destination Pop feel very honoured to present “Love, And Other Catastrophes” on vinyl with three bonus tracks. Skint & Demoralised are from Wakefield, England and sound like The Streets meets Haircut 100 and Orange Juice, but you might also think of Spearmint or a more cheerful version of The Dead 60s.
The 15 tracks on this limited vinyl edition (only 500 copies being made) were recorded in London, Sheffield and New York. Some of them feature the legendary Dap-Kings, the band responsible for the trademark sound on Amy Winehouse’s album “Back To Black”.
